To reduce the flowering of algae in reservoirs, the company Anti-Algas developed a technology that uses ultrasound emission in the water column. The emission interferes with the algae flotation system, preventing them from reaching the surface to perform photosynthesis.
ORBTY was responsible for integrating spatial monitoring into the system, expanding control and making the operation of the public water supply reservoir of the city of Votorantim/SP, managed by the basic sanitation company Águas de Votorantim, more efficient.

The monitoring was carried out continuously, using data from satellites such as Sentinel-2 and Landsat 8 and 9 to estimate the average concentration of chlorophyll-a, a fundamental indicator for evaluating water quality. The result was a more agile, safe and data-driven process, strengthening the environmental management of the reservoir.
